Glamorous Wavy Hair Tutorial

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be showing you a step by step tutorial on how I achieve glamorous wavy hair using my new favorite curling wand, the Verge By One Curl Styx. I'm absolutely obsessed with it and have been using it non-stop since I got it. If you haven't seen my review on this curling wand, click here.

This hairstyle is very quick and easy to do. It takes me less than 15 minutes to do my entire head! This is also a versatile hairstyle as well because it's glamorous enough for a night out, but you can also make it look very beachy if you add a sea salt or texturizing spray!

I'll be using the largest of the three wands that comes with this curling wand for this, which is 25mm.

Fall Must Haves/Cravings!

Hey guys! Before I get into this post, I just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts I've had over the last couple months. If you follow me on Twitter, you already know that my laptop broke a couple months ago. I had a macbook and I absolutely loved it, so I definitely want to repurchase another one and I'm sure you know, they're not the cheapest things in the world. In all honesty, I cannot afford to replace it at this moment in time, but I should have a new one in the next couple of months. Thank you to everyone who stuck with me in the meantime, I really appreciate it.
So because of my lack of posts and horrible blogging lately, I have decided that when I do finally get the opportunity to replace my macbook, I'm going to start making Youtube videos! It's something I've wanted to do for a long time and I'm really excited to take my love for beauty and the urge to help and inspire others to the next level. Did I mention I'm really excited? :)

Now on to the blog post! Fall is right around the corner and I couldn't be happier. I'm all for summer, but Fall is my absolute favorite. I crave the Fall all year round- layering clothes, dark, vampy makeup trends, colder weather, thunderstorms, falling leaves, burning candles, fall scents, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING....-you name it! So with that being said, I just wanted to share with you guys some of my must-have beauty and fashion items for Fall, as well as some items that I'm craving for the season this year.

I hope you all enjoy it and definitely let me know what your favorite Fall items are!

Revlon, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret

In the fall, I'm OBSESSED with any kind of sweaters and off the shoulder tops. I prefer them to be loose fitting as well.
I also pair EVERYTHING with leggings. They're so comfy and go with everything.
Another must have fashion item for the fall are scarves. They're a great way to spice up a casual outfit and make a statement. I love any scarves with polka dots, leopard, stripes, or a bright color.
For shoes, I chose Toms. I'm not really a high heel kinda girl. I mean, I'm sure I would be if I had places to wear them, but I don't. I have more of a casual chic, simplistic style. Toms are comfy and can go well with a lot of things. They're great everyday shoes. I also love boots for the Fall!
I love cross body style bags for this season as well, especially brown leather ones. Charlotte Russe makes great ones for affordable prices!

As far as beauty goes, I love anything matte. When Fall rolls around, I swap out my shimmery makeup products for anything matte. I especially love matte lipsticks and blushes. My favorite matte blushes are MAC Melba and Illamasqua Naked Rose. For lipsticks, I love darker shades. Revlon Matte Lipstick in Mauve It Over is a great soft, pinky mauve that is great for the transition from Summer to Fall. I also go for my red, burgundy, purple-toned lippies in the Fall.
While the weather transitions into colder weather, I start to get dry patches as my skin adjusts, so moisturizing is key! My favorite moisturizer at the moment is the Loreal Future-E Daily Moisturizer + Daily Dose of Vitamin E. It makes my skin hydrated, but remains lightweight, as I do have oily skin.

Lastly, the scents! One of my favorite things about Fall is the scents. I love anything and everything pumpkin spice, but I also love any baked goods scent. One of my favorites is Apple Crumble by Slatkin and Co. When I worked at Bath and Body Works last Fall, I couldn't resist this scent. Apple Crumble is also one of my favorite desserts :) Bath and Body Works also has a limited edition scent called Brown Sugar and Fig, which is my ABSOLUTE favorite, but is only sold two times per year. Luckily, this Fall it is part of their Fall collection. I definitely recommend checking that out because it's absolutely heavenly! I'm not sure if it will be sold in candle form, but I know that it will be sold in body lotions, body spray, shower gel, etc.

What are your favorites for Fall? Let me know in the comments below!

REVIEW: Verge By One Curl Styx (Part 1)

I'm gonna be honest with you guys, when it comes to doing my hair, I'm as lazy as they come. I never want to style my hair and 9 times out of 10, I get frustrated with it, throw it up in a messy bun, and call it a day. So with all of that being said, I'm not too fond of my hair. Since I hate styling it, it's pretty much just...there. When I do try and do things with it, like curling it for instance, it will fall flat before I'm even finished with the rest of my head. Talk about being discouraged! So usually I leave it in it's natural state (a wave/curl hybrid), straighten it, or go with the messy bun cop out. All the while, I'm craving sexy, voluminous curls.

Well I'm pleased to inform you all, that that has all changed. I was recently sent a curling iron that has made my WANT to do my hair: the Verge By One Curl Styx. I love the curls it gives my hair and I've been using it almost every day since I got it.

Verge Curl Styx are a relatively new product in the hair tool market, but what makes it so unique is the fact that not only is this your ordinary curling wand, it's actually THREE curling wands in ONE. It comes with 3 different sized barrels, each giving you a different type of curl and accommodating to every hair length.

***This review is titled Part 1 because following this post, I will be posting a Wavy Hair Tutorial using this curling iron, which will be Part 2. If you're interested in seeing that, stay tuned.

Review: BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette

As I'm sure you have seen, my most recent posts have featured a certain makeup palette that I've been enjoying playing around with lately: the BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette. Before I did an actual review, I wanted to do a couple looks for you guys featuring the palette so that when it came time to do the review, if any of you were interested in purchasing the palette, you would have an idea of how you could potentially use certain shades within the palette. If you want to refer back to any of those looks, click here to see a Purple Smokey Eye FOTD and click here to see a Wearable Aqua Tutorial.

Now if you guys aren't familiar with BH Cosmetics, here's a brief summary that is located on their home page of what the company is all about:
